Heating Systems

Heat pumps

A heat pump is a device that uses a small amount of electricity to absorb the natural heat from a cold space and release it in a warmer one. Heat pumps can be used for both heating and cooling purposes. They are considered one of the most widely talked about low carbon heating alternatives to a gas boiler and, for most people, probably the most readily available.

Infrared heating panels

Infrared heating panels are considered as a fine alternative to gas boilers. They work by emitting infrared radiation that heats up objects and people in the room rather than the air around them. This makes them more energy-efficient than traditional heating systems

Solar thermal panels

Solar thermal panels use energy from the sun to heat water for your home. They are an excellent alternative to gas boilers as they are renewable and can save you money on your energy bills

Biomass boilers and stoves

Biomass boilers and stoves burn organic material such as wood pellets, chips or logs to provide heat for your home. They are considered one of the most sustainable heating alternatives to gas boilers

Electric radiators

A combination of electric radiators, electric water heaters and electric towel rails is a perfect alternative to a gas boiler. It could make your home far more energy-efficient at a cheaper monthly cost

District heating

District heating is a system where heat is generated in a central location and then distributed through a network of pipes to homes and businesses in the surrounding area. It is considered one of the most efficient ways of providing heat for large numbers of people

Hydrogen boilers

Hydrogen boilers are an alternative to gas boilers that use hydrogen as their fuel source instead of natural gas. They produce no carbon emissions when they burn hydrogen, making them an excellent choice for those looking for a low-carbon heating solution
